Abbotsford International Airshow flies in August 11-13! #Events

Abbotsford AirShow 2017

If you were to ask my 6 year old how airplanes fly – she’d tell you “magic” and she isn’t far off! For kids, there is something incredibly magical about seeing planes in flight! We recently went on a trip to Squamish where we had the pleasure of touring over 4000ft up to look over the mountains and gondola – all with her sitting in the front seat! To say she was excited would be an understatement, and it’s created a love of flying in her from a very young age.

With so many different planes, pilots and flight paths the magic never has to end! Which is why we are super excited to bring her to the Abbotsford Air Show this weekend to show her just how magical the planes can be and what the talented pilots can truly do with them.

A long standing tradition, the #AbbyAirShow has deep roots in the Fraser Valley ad is a must-see for all ages.. With reasonably priced family entertainment, and a range of activities for multiple generations to enjoy. The Airshow particularly encourages the sharing of experiences between the ages!

“I constantly see young kids perched on their dad’s shoulders watching the aerobatic performances with awe and grandparents wandering along the static line telling stories to their grandkids about their experiences in and with some of the airplanes along that display. Our food trucks serve all the favourite festival foods like mini-donuts, kettle corn and funnel cakes, poutine, bannock and pizza, in addition to some more exotic treats that add to those long-lasting summer memories.  At the end of the weekend, I am always gratified having heard the the oohs and aahs of the kids big and small.“ – Jim Reith, President

What can you expect to see at the Airshow? Designated Canada’s National Airshow, the annual aviation festival provides spectators an opportunity to watch one of the finest aerobatic performances in the world. People gather from around the globe to look to the skies in awe. With over a dozen performers on the bill for this year’s event, there is a something for everyone to enjoy!
