Retargeting Ads

From time to time, the Website may engage in remarketing efforts with third-party companies, such as Google, Facebook, or Instagram, in order to market the Website. These companies use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Website.

Affiliate Program Participation

The Website may engage in affiliate marketing, which is done by embedding tracking links into the Website. If you click on a link for an affiliate partnership, a cookie will be placed on your browser to track any sales for purposes of commissions. Whenever a blog post contains affiliate links, this will be clearly stated at the beginning of the post. Please note that when you click on an affiliate link, I may a tiny percentage from that sale without any cost to you.

British Columbia Mom is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and links to Amazon.com and Amazon.ca.  As part of this Amazon Associates program, the Website will post customized links, provided by Amazon, to track the referrals to their website. This program utilizes cookies to track visits for the purposes of assigning commission on these sales.

GIVEAWAY POLICY

British Columbia Mom posts giveaways from time to time on this site.  Some of these giveaways are hosted locally by British Columbia Mom, some by brands we have partnered with, and some are hosted by others.  In each case, this is clearly indicated on the giveaway post.

Whenever possible, giveaways are open to both the US and Canada but again, this is always clearly disclosed. The following policies pertain to any giveaways hosted solely by British Columbia Mom – for all others, please consult the giveaway host directly if you have any questions about their policies.

Giveaways are generally run through Rafflecopter or Gleam and prize winners’ entries are verified before prizes are awarded. Because these services automatically pick a prize winner for me, your notification of winning will be sent to the email address you provided upon entry.

Please respond within 48 hours of being notified that you have won a prize or a new winner will be picked. If multiple entries are being made through the same IP address (ie shared internet of families, coworkers, or at schools), it is best to contact British Columbia Mom directly as it is up to our sole discretion as to whether entries from more than one name/email address at the same IP will be allowed. If you do not reply within 48 hours, another prize winner will be drawn.

Except in a few rare cases, British Columbia Mom is not responsible for shipping. Your prize should arrive in 8-10 weeks. If you do not receive it by then, please contact me at hello@bcmom.ca so that I can follow up on it.  Since I live in Canada and often ship to the US or overseas, there can sometimes be substantial delays or prizes that get lost in the mail due to customs and crossing international borders.

DISCLOSURE POLICY

You will see a disclosure statement at the beginning of every post that has been sponsored by a brand so that you are fully aware that I have received some sort of compensation in the way of money or products.  Please know that I will never accept a sponsorship opportunity for a product or brand that I do not truly support and believe in. All opinions stated on this blog are my own unless otherwise indicated (for example, in the case of a guest blogger).
