Vancouver’s largest indie craft fair, GotCraft?, springs back for their 17th event at the Maritime Labour Centre on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3, 2015. I am super excited to be attending this one, having peeked through the vendor list and spying a few of my personal favorites; including craft’ed (bookmarks, magnets, cards), quirky paper co. and EllaMinnoPea (check out Noah’s story below!).
Attendees will have lots to ooh and ahh over at this fair, which features 75 independent, local vendors with a variety of curated handmade goods ranging from jewelry, clothing, ceramics, stationary, housewares, toys, art, and much more!
“We’re super excited to be returning to the East Village, one of favourite Vancouver neighbourhoods this May to celebrate our Spring show,” says Andrea Tong-Tucker, one half of the husband-wife production team. “We’ll be bringing back some of our most popular workshops to the upcoming event such as hand lettering with legendary sign painter, John Lennig of Big Top Sign Arts.“
D.I.Y. lovers (and those like me who need a little direction) will be able to make their own craft projects at the workshops on site. Satisfy your hunger with food from local trucks, handcrafted baked goods, and artisan chocolates that will also be on the menu!
When: May 2-3, 2015
Where: Maritime Labour Centre – 1880 Triumph Street, Vancouver
Tickets: $3 at the door
Bonus: The first 50 people through the door each day will receive a free swag bag from vendors and sponsors.
Most vendors accept cash/credit, there is not an ATM on premise so best to stop before lining up!
This is the perfect opportunity to grab some gifts for your loved ones, add some adorable local goodies to your new home or just to check out all the local vendors. Will you be joining us? We hope to see you there!
