Ecokeepers at Stanley Park

Ecokeepers at Stanley Park

Long before the days of Pokemon Go, I was introduced to an amazing fun family outdoor activity that still to this day captivates me  – and everyone we introduce it to! We’re talking about Geocaching, a fun way to keep the family outdoors, entertained and maybe even a little competitive!

Geocaching is a free activity, and super easy to get started in! All you need is a GPS receiver or mobile device and away you go, locate specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world, and there’s a ton of them to check out, many probably in your own neighborhood.

Want to try it out on home soil? EnviroKidz ecokeepers™ wants to get you outside and discovering the world around us. They are hosting a super fun Geocaching Treasure Hunt in the heart of one of the most beautiful landmarks Vancouver has – none other than Stanley Park! What’s a Treasure Hunt without prizes, though, right?

Be one of the first 50 participants and you’ll start the trek off with a swag bag filled with some of our fave EnviroKidz goodies, a trackable ladybug and a Whole Foods gift card (swag bags valued at $50!). All participants will also be entered into a draw for a the grand prize – a $250 Whole Foods gift card and a Nature’s Path gift basket! The perfect snacks to keep you fueled on your adventures

Ready to explore? Come hang out for a little (or a lot!) of the day, sample some delicious peanut-free snacks and get your running shoes on for a day of fun, active outdoor family fun.

Whether you’re a seasoned Geocacher or a first timer, don’t worry! There will be plenty of geocaching helpers on hand to get you started on your treasure hunt adventure. Want to have a head start? Make sure to bring a GPS-enabled device with you, you can use your smartphone and download the geocaching app from the app store or from  www.geocaching.com. For more information on what to expect, how to participate and how the whole family can get involved, make sure to visit geocaching for beginners from EnviroKidz ecokeepers™.
