Summer is in full swing and Theatre Under The Stars has won over our hearts with their Summer of Life lineup for the 2016 season. Helisa & I were invited to attend the premiere of both shows this season and I have to say, LOVE is in the air!
I can’t believe that June is already over! You know what that means? Summer is in full swing. With summer comes some amazing outdoor events happening in and around Vancouver. One of our personal favourites is Theatre Under The Stars, held annually in the Malkin Bowl at Stanley Park. I am a serious theatre and musical junkie. I may not be able to sing but it certainly doesn’t stop me from trying. I get pretty intense when I’m at a show and Hairspray! put on this year by the wonderful crew at Theatre Under The Stars was no different, once I was in my seat my eyes were glued to that stage!
I love live theatre, and live entertainment in general. But there’s something about taking written word and bringing it to life in front of an audience, making the characters so rich and the story so vivid that is a little bit magical. I absolutely love musical theatre – much to my hubbys dismay. If there is a musical in town chances are I have coveted tickets, watched live performances on youtube, downloaded the soundtrack and can likely be heard humming or singing along throughout my day. I have no shame admitting it either – I love LOVE musicals! I can’t be the only one either,ย Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) is celebrating 75
