A has been diving into bringing her creations to life thanks to the @playosmo Disney Princess Super Studio! Definitely one of our favourite Osmo kits yet. We’re missing Disney quite a bit so she’s loving drawing her favourite princesses, creating scenes that dance and she can’t wait to finish the story! I love how it gets her imagination moving and how she celebrates when she unlocks something special.

There is nothing more breathtaking than standing in the greatness of one of the most memorable artists to have ever lived. @imagine.van.gogh brought his art to life projected onto 9-metre tall displays that maintain every brush stroke, every purposefully placed glob of paint and every crack in the 150 year old canvases. Tiny me for scale against the screens!

In short, it’s a stunningly memorable display that leaves you dancing through some of Vincent Van Gogh’s most iconic pieces as you’re transported through over 200 pieces of his art.

Each transition is accompanied by music by great composers that set the perfect mood for wandering, inspecting, and treasuring the memory of each piece in front of you. Landscape at Auvers in the Rain accompanied by the sound of fresh rainfall, absolutely pulls you into deep into the moment.

What I wouldn’t have given for a chair and more time to watch. It truly was mesmerizing.

Tickets are on sale now and Imagine Van Gogh has extended their Vancouver tour to the end of August. Lots of time to visit and appreciate this incredible event!

Are you ready to take the Bee Strong Challenge? Just in time for Spring break families can visit @vandusengarden to experience a unique adventure to learn about the importance of our favourite little pollinators! Best part? It's outdoors, physically distanced and a great activity to accompany at home learning or a weekend adventure.

Participants will follow a typical bee adventure through the Garden as they forage for pollen and water (around 4,000 steps!), learning about pollinator friendly flowers at VanDusen and lots of fun facts about bees along the way.

Once you've completed the corresponding activity sheet, you'll will receive your first “GOG Award”; a Bee Strong badge, Pollinator BUD-DIY (sunflower growing kit) and a treat to take home!

Event runs March 12 – April 5 and requires both an admission and add-on ticket for participants. Adults/guardians do not require an add-on ticket.

Best part? They encourage you to dress up in your favourite beeee attire! Don your capes, antennas and favourite bee friendly coloured clothes and enjoy some time outdoors.

Just because we aren't meeting for events and celebrations shouldn't mean we can't treat ourselves, right?

I have a sweet tooth and a soft spot for beautiful treats. @kimmycakesandsweets was kind enough to drop off a stuffed full box of her popular treats for me to share with my office and suffice to say.... everyone had seconds! I chose red velvet with cream cheese icing because *nom* but if there is a flavour you'd like, they can make it!

If you remember my attempt (aka.. fail) at hot chocolate bombs you know just how much I appreciate these beautiful bombs, with just the right amount of sweetness and surprises inside. They are great for a family movie night, to drop off to friends or neighbors or just to enjoy for a date night.

During such a challenging time, I'm doing my best to support local and that is certainly easy to do when it's delicious treats. During quarantine I was about tired of being in the kitchen allllll day and with everyone raving about them, I decided it was time to give it a try. I was skeptical, as I also did the same for the Instant Pot craze and hardly used mine but.. happy to report, we use our air fryer nearly everyday!

On the blog today ---> Easy Air Fryer St. Patricks Day Poptarts, an easy enough recipe to switch up flavours, portion sizes and decorations to match just about everyone's tastes. Fast enough to throw together that you can have them on the table in less than 15 minutes - even less if you let the kids do the decorating!

It’s @pinkshirtday, and I am so thankful to be raising a kind human who believes kindness is her love language. She was determined to be the pinkest kid in class today and talked about all the ways she was going to show some extra kindness.

I’m acutely aware, as someone who was bullied growing up, that a pink shirt doesn’t eliminate bullying, but hopefully it can encourage a snowball of kindness that can manifest change, even if it’s just a small change. How are you showing extra kindness today?
