Family board game nights are a must in our house f

Family board game nights are a must in our house for connection, nothing brings us together better than a little friendly competition and someone getting to annouce they won. 😂

As A has gotten older, we've watched her age out of some of our favourite family games and had to do a quick "restock" with some new challenging ones, bringing out favourites from when I was a kid (Mastermind!) and some new additions.

We're sharing 13 of our favourite family board games that even the tweens/teens crew will love on the blog today from favourite brands like @asmodee_canada, @rorys_storycubes, @bigpotatogames, @settlersofcatan and more.

Does anyone else do their best work when the house

Does anyone else do their best work when the house is quiet? You know.. when the family is *asleep*? I know I do, I do my best work in the wee hours of the evening and early mornings!

I was so excited to get the chance to try the new @cricut_ca Bright 360 standing floor lamp! I love that it is easily adjustable from a seated position with a fingertip touch, that it has multiple cool and warm temperatures to choose from and the ability to dim it. I can craft to my hearts content with the light just where I need it.

I wanted our loot bags this year to be a surprise for even the birthday girl! I used the Cricut cosmetic bag blanks and layered infusible ink using the "paint splatter" image with iron-on vinyl on top. It was super easy! The hardest part was choosing the font out of dozens available. Ooof.

[[ SWIPE ]] to see how they turned out! I stuffed the loot bags with our fave treats from @smartsweets and personalized birthday party labels from @mabelslabels. I love giving a thank you gift that I know is going to be used and loved, and these personalized bags were well received by the parents! Just in time for summer camps, school and more to stash their treasures and treats in.

Blue skies in our house calls for a drive with no destination. We may end up at a park, a friends house, the pool, who knows really? There's something to be said about piling into the car with good tunes playing and just enjoying the drive!

Our friends at @mazdacanada have us in the seat of a few vehicles this summer to try out to see what fits our family best and the CX-30 fits all *my* needs amazingly. This subcompact SUV is the perfect ride for someone who loves their hatch back (aka me) but also wants a bit higher of a ride (also me).

The top 3 things I loved about the CX-30:
🚗 Smooth, powerful ride. I live on the top of a mountain and the CX-30 was UP for the challenge. It's a speedy one.
🚗 Minimal distractions. The interior is designed in a cohesive way that limits visual distractions. No touch screens, but an easily navigated menu screen.
🚗 Fuel Efficiency. By using optimal distribution of torque and minimizing drivetrain energy loss, the CX-30 is arguably one of the most fuel efficient vehicles that wasn't a hybrid that I've driven. And let's be serious, if you're cruising with these gas prices... you need fuel efficiency.
