Global Wonders is a non-profit organization that helps women who’ve escaped human trafficking and sexual exploitation by providing a long-term recovery program including housing, recovery, education, and skill development. Each item you receive in your prize pack is handmade by a survivor who is paid a fair wage and supported every step through building new skills from textile creation, candles, bath & body, jewelry, and apparel products. 100% of the proceeds from every sale are reinvested back into supporting their training programs. The reality is, that this is happening on our very doorsteps and worldwide, women are exploited every single day and left feeling like there is no hope and no way out. M O T H E R S D A Y // have to say, @metropolisatmet knows how to make moms feel so special! We had a chance to experience their #MothersDayAtTheMet preview yesterday and goodness, they are the best!

Want to experience it yourself? Or have a deserving mama in your life who could use a little special time? Tickets are available for the May 11th event running at 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm in the grand court! Ticket holders are able to enjoy a similar experience as the preview event with light food, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, a lively DJ, candy bar, an adopt-a-plant experience, gift bags containing a $20 gift card to The Met, along with plenty of door prizes – all in support of the @causewecarefoundation.
