SANTA has landed at @thecityoflougheed! //

I haven’t been to the North Pole at Lougheed in a few years and wow, stunning and insta worthy would be an understatement! We were invited to visit Santa yesterday and I could not stop staring at the sky high Christmas tree in beautiful green hues, a perfect little photo spot to visit before or after you visit Santa.

I don’t have many years left of photos with Santa, I was quite chuffed that A was willing to jump into a photo with Santa & I this year, we’ll definitely cherish this memory.

Create magic moments with Santa this holiday season with The City of Lougheed and North Pole Picture Co. Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome however appointments are given priority. Space is limited so book ahead of the rush! Visit @thecityoflougheed website to book. Happening now until December 24.

The City Of Lougheed will also be hosting complimentary live entertainment in December from Fridays - Saturdays, in addition to choir performances from local schools and groups happening Friday, December 8 - Friday, December 15. It’s the most magical time of year, Christmas lights are literally my favourite thing ever and @vandusengarden Festival of Lights is in my top 3 for places to enjoy them with friends & family.

Enjoy 15 acres of transformed botanical gardens with over 1 million beautiful twinkling lights. Get into the holiday spirit with my personal favourite - Dancing Lights! With 3 dancing light sets this year, happening every 20 minutes from the top of the hour, you can watch the lake be transformed into a spectacular light show!

Leave time to explore themed light areas (candy cane lane is my favourite!), and savour tasty treats from a variety of food vendors on location.

Make sure to take a left just after Anna’s Pond to visit the Scottish Shelter and light a candy for @makeawish_canada Make-A-Wish! Did you know that there are currently 600 children waiting for their wishes to be granted? Your donations go directly to gifting the most magical experiences to kids and their families in need.

Happening now until January 7th, grab your timed tickets online and bask in the magical lights in time for the holidays.

Things to know//
- Parking on location is free, but scarce. Public transit or ride share is recommended. We often park in the surrounding neighborhood and walk
- The park and most areas are wheelchair, stroller and walker friendly.
- Lots of food options on location at various price points (the popcorn is delish!)

It’s pressure like a drip, drip, drip that’ll never stop, whoa // This is your sign that you don’t need to make @disneyonice just about the kids friends, there may have been a group of us, grown women, belting out Disney hits like “We don’t talk about Bruno”, “Let it Go” and more at the very top of our lungs having the very best time at yesterday’s show and it filled ALL our buckets with joy! °o°

Disney On Ice is in Vancouver for a few short days, but don’t fret, there is still time to catch one of the shows before they are gone.

This year’s show was by far one of my favourites, Frozen + Encanto, two of my very favourite musical scores and the best characters! Enjoy Anna & Elsa and the family Madrigal telling their stories about family, love and connection... all while flying in the air, and dodging skating donkeys. Yes, you read that right. Donkeys.

We visited Holly & Jolly and all the @vanchristmas family to check out the 2023 Christmas Market offerings and I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’d have to say this is the best year yet! So many of my own personal favourite vendors, a great mix of gift ideas, and as always, the perfect food pairings to enjoy with your Gluhwein, Kinderpunsch or warm apple cider.

A few of my fave vendors you won’t want to miss checking out —> @thosepretzels , @crimpandcrumb (get to her before the end of the season if you’re hoping for gifts, she is selling FAST!), @bonmacaronpatisserie , @kenziecards , @themaplerushyt (I won a gift pack from them last year and it is the BEST maple syrup I’ve ever tasted), @mixologistsbartending , @kygun, @slowbottledsunday , @thomakisyogurt & Zotter Chocolates!

If you know me, Christmas is kinda my jam. I was so excited to be invited by our friends at @metropolisatmet for a preview of their holiday happenings around the mall, and some of the top gift ideas from mall partners.

🎅 Did you know that Metropolis at Metrotown will have a unique Santa experience this year? Guests can enjoy visiting with diverse perspectives of Santa including Father Christmas, Global Santa, Kris Kringle and even Tropical Santa for meet-and-greets and photo sessions. Partial proceeds from Santa photos will benefit the Burnaby Christmas Bureau, an incredible program that aims to help make the Christmas magic happen for many local in-need families.

🎶 I don’t want a lot for Christmas 🎶 Except maybe my super cozy bed, new @knix fireside flannel pajamas set and a new book! BRB besties, I’m slothing.

Since these landed they are the jammas I reach for each night, cozy and warm and for once, a button up shirt that *actually* buttons up. Size wise, I went with an XL to be cozy with lots of room and it worked perfectly! The pants have a great drawstring so even if you size up, you can cinch them right at the waist. For reference. I’m 5’3” and a size 12-14 in pants, L in shirts. For once, my teeny legs are not lost in a sea of pants.
