What's the most Canadian thing ever? I'd have to say grilling in all temps and seasons. Mother Nature sure gave us a run this year from hail and wind storms to random dumps of snow and you know what? The Easter Bunny is already hard at work, did you know he’s basically a professional chocolatier? That’s why when @purdyschocolatier was getting ready for Easter, they called in the very best to help them choose a special Easter box — Bunny’s Choice! Filled with the Easter bunnies favourite sweet treats, turns out that him and I have some similar faves. 🐰

We had so much fun sampling the chocolates (the mango is to diiiiie for) and visit with some special @rabbitatsrescue sweet babies at @bunnycafevancouver! This incredible cafe partners with the local rescue to help these sweet babies find their forever homes. Book a time slot online and enjoy an hour visiting with them, feeding their favourite little snackies and giggling as they inevitably steal your lettuce cups! They are sneaky sneaky ones. It was so therapeutic sitting with them, they are so soft!

Bunny’s Choice is available at your local @purdyschocolatier and makes the perfect addition to Easter baskets; host gifts or… just for yourself (trust me, you’ll want one too!)

TODAYS THE DAY! Natures Ninjas opens today at @van

TODAYS THE DAY! Natures Ninjas opens today at @vanaqua! Visitors will have the chance to learn more about some of the coolest animals that have unique ways of protecting themselves in the wild. From Barry the sloth who hides up high, to the three banded armadillo who mimics a toddler trying to be put down, to much much more! I loved the space and may have joked that I’m going to work from the bench with Barry the sloth as my new coworker.

The new exhibit area is huge with lots of room to explore, and lots of interactive displays to touch and learn more about our newest visitors. There is also an amazing team of handlers who will eagerly answer any questions you may have, and they know it all!

This is hands down my favourite activation to take over this space and I can’t wait to hear what you think of it! ⤵️

Did you know that the past couple of years have se

Did you know that the past couple of years have seen the most demand in terms of families needing support? Between @foodbanksbc, @surreychristmas & @lmcbureau they are seeing so many families needing help. If you know me, you know that my heart is always focused on giving, and I absolutely can't handle kids not having Christmas.

Liv and I raided our gift closet this week to gather up anything that we could let go to help make another childs Christmas. I generally stock the closet with items I find on clearance throughout the year, or extra products brands send us (we so appreciate you!) and stash them away for donations and gifts. So thankful this year that we were able to donate a big pile of cool science and STEM gifts, lots of books, and some fun board games.

I grew up very poor, and we depended heavily on Food Banks, Christmas hampers, and the kindness of others. It isn't lost on me the privilege I have to be in a position to give back and I am so thankful for it.

This is such a busy time of year for so many, and the season of giving can be quickly lost in the hustle and bustle, if you see a moment to give back and are able, please join me in paying it forward.
